According to sources from the local mineralogical department, the quartz sand coming from Central Kalimantan is of excellent quality, having highlevels of SiO2 (silicon dioxide) and very low levels of Fe2O3 (iron trioxide), a valuable resource. These high qualities make it an excellent choice for a wide range of applications in various industries. The sampling we did to get pure results, we dug manually to a depth of 4 metres. It is certain that the presence of quartz sand will certainly be obtained deeper to cover 12 metres.

The topographic characteristic of Central Kalimantan is a mature lowland region with several scattered highland areas along the 11 main rivers that traverse the area from north to south (Barito River,Kapuas River, Kahayan River, Mentaya River, Barito River,Kapuas River). These rivers mostly have wide floodplains and a series of extensive meanders.
